She laughed and smiled, she was obviously very happy when it took place on a raised platform behind the rope. The platform was about a meter square and was high for a foot: it was installed for her no doubt by the television people, and perhaps was it the pink color of the carpet on which lit her skin healthy purple highlights and a delicate pink, but still is it that it offered a pleasant spectacle this afternoon Sunday the overcast sky.
